Tallow Skincare and Eczema: Choosing a Moisturizer
Learn how CocoVayé’s fragrance-free and scented formulas differ, and what to consider when choosing a moisturizer for eczema-prone or sensitive skin.
If you have eczema or sensitive skin, the exact formula matters more than whether an ingredient is described as natural. CocoVayé creams are cosmetic moisturizers; they are not treatments or cures for eczema.
Fragrance-free and scented formulas are different
The Natural moisturizer contains tallow, MCT oil and vitamin E, without added fragrance. Our day creams include scented formulas, and The Original lists Parfum in its ingredients. Essential oils and perfumes may be unsuitable for people sensitive to scent. Check your selected product’s full ingredient list.
Choose your moisturizer carefully
The American Academy of Dermatology recommends fragrance-free creams or ointments for eczema-prone skin. This recommendation does not establish that a particular CocoVayé product treats eczema or will suit every individual.
Using CocoVayé in your routine
Patch test before first use. Start with a small amount on clean, slightly damp skin and follow the product instructions. Stop using a product that irritates your skin. If you have active eczema or concerns about a new product, ask your dermatologist about your routine and continue prescribed care.
