5 Things You Didn't Know About Jojoba Oil
Jojoba appears in some CocoVayé formulas. Here are five points to keep in mind when reading a skincare ingredient list.
1. It is a liquid wax
Jojoba seed oil is commonly called an oil, but its composition is mainly wax esters. You may see it listed as Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil.
2. It is one part of a formula
An ingredient name alone does not tell you how a finished moisturizer will feel or whether it will suit your skin. The complete formula and how you use it matter.
3. Moisturizing is different from treating acne
CocoVayé moisturizers are cosmetic products. We do not claim that jojoba in our creams treats acne, kills acne-causing bacteria or replaces prescribed care.
4. Check the product you choose
Our Velvet Lavender Anti-Aging Cream lists jojoba seed oil. The Natural moisturizer contains tallow, MCT oil and vitamin E instead. Check each product’s full ingredient list, including fragrance and essential oils.
5. Follow the product instructions
Patch test before first use and stop if irritation occurs. Our creams are intended for moisturizing skin; we do not make hair-growth claims.
